Mr. Meyer was nominated by several members of his staff, who praised his steady leadership, mentorship, and genuine care for both students and teachers. One colleague shared: “Andrew has been such a great resource for me during my first two years of teaching. Whether it’s offering a safe place to talk through emotions, supporting and advocating for me with parents, or guiding me through challenging situations, he has been nothing but supportive. Andrew always welcomes me into his office, even for the smallest things, and maintains a calm and inviting demeanor no matter how busy he is. He reminds me to celebrate my ‘wins,’ which keeps me grounded and positive. Laurel is so lucky to have him!”
Outside of school, Andrew enjoys spending time with family and friends.
When asked what he loves most about his role, Mr. Meyer responded, “Working with and serving such a great staff, student population, and community. Laurel is a special place and it makes me smile each and every day.”
