Mr. Dustin Riley - February 2026 Educator of the Month
Franklin County Community School Corporation is honored to celebrate Mr. Dustin Riley, Athletic Director at Franklin County High School, as our Educator of the Month.
Mr. Riley brings 18 years of experience in education, including 11 years of dedicated service to Franklin County Community School Corporation. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from Purdue University and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the American College of Education.
Dustin was nominated for this honor by a parent, who shared, “He deserves so much recognition for all the time he spends making sure all the athletics run smoothly. He helps secure the funds needed for sports programs to obtain what they need and is very active in students’ lives—making sure they are not only successful in sports, but academically as well. He truly cares for all students who attend the school.”
Mr. Riley’s excellence has been recognized through numerous honors, including receiving the FFA Appreciation Award twice, being honored twice during Girls Basketball Staff Appreciation Nights, and being named a finalist for the ISTAR Award.
In addition to his role as Athletic Director, Dustin is actively involved in several organizations. He is a member of the Indiana Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association, serves as President of the Franklin County Booster Club, and is the co-head coach of the Franklin County High School boys golf team.
Outside of school, Dustin enjoys spending time with his wife, Stephanie, and their children, Carson and Adeline. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing, going to the movies, and watching professional and college sports.
When asked about the most rewarding part of his job, Mr. Riley shared, “The most rewarding part of being an Athletic Director is watching students grow, gain confidence, and develop lifelong skills through athletics that will impact them later in life. I also enjoy seeing former students return and hearing how they have progressed in life, as well as creating memories with my colleagues at home games and on away trips.”
Franklin County Community School Corporation proudly thanks Mr. Dustin Riley for the time, care, and passion he invests in students and athletics each day. His influence reaches far beyond the field and gym.
