Principal’s Welcome Message – 2021

I am eager to get back to school for the 2021-22 school year. This is my second year as Principal at FCHS.  As a resident of Franklin County with children in the school system, I will do my best to make FCHS the best I can.  I want to provide a safe and conducive learning environment.

A little about me I graduated from Purdue University in 2007 with my degree in physical education.  I have been in education for 13 years now.  My first five years of classroom experience was in Arizona as a PE/Health teacher.  For the past seven years, I have worked at Franklin County Community School Corporation.  Five of those years as FCHS assistant principal.

During these unique times, we must provide every student with a quality education.  We have been working vigorously to ensure we are providing educational options to meet the needs of all students.  We will continue to adapt our curriculum and opportunities to help serve all students in our community.  My goal is to provide options that make our students feel safe and provide quality education during these times.  I’m lucky to have such a strong staff around me to help me out.

As the principal of FCHS, I welcome you to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have throughout your student’s time here.  I believe communication is essential to help meet the needs of every student.  It takes the whole community to make our school system successful and maximize each student’s potential.  We are in this together!

Sincerely,

Dustin Riley
