Reds Opening Day Parade
On Monday, March 31, the Franklin County High School Band travelled to downtown Cincinnati, OH to participate in the 95th Annual Findlay Market Opening Day Parade. Thousands of Reds fans turned out in red and white and cheered on the band as it performed an arrangement of Firework, a tune made popular by Katy Perry. Officials expressed their appreciation for the band’s longstanding tradition of participating in the parade. Directors Jon Johnson & Camden Ritchie were pleased by the students’ performance: “It’s always difficult to come back from spring break and do a big performance, but the kids really knocked it out of the park.”
