September 2023 Support Staff of the Month

Director of Operations, Mr. Keith Isaacs, is thrilled to announce that Mrs. Shelby Hamilton has been selected as September’s “Support Staff of the Month.” Shelby currently serves as the Guidance Counselor Secretary at Franklin County High School.

Shelby joined the Franklin County Community School Corporation in 2022, making this her first year.

Shelby was nominated for this honor by two colleagues. When asked why Mrs. Hamilton should be considered for this recognition, they responded, “She is always so polite, kind, compassionate, and helpful. She maintains a positive attitude and makes everyone feel welcomed and heard. Shelby not only completes her own job responsibilities, but is constantly taking on additional ones to help others out. The Office of Student Services has been short staffed for some time and Shelby helps out greatly without even being asked to. I honestly don’t know what we would do without her. I am so happy that she is part of our team. She contributes so much!”

Outside of school, Shelby enjoys time spent with family and friends, especially playing games and doing puzzles together.

When asked what the best part of her job is, Mrs. Hamilton responded, “In my short time at Franklin County High School, I’ve been very blessed to work with such helpful coworkers and meet so many great students. I love being able to watch the students grow and gain confidence in themselves through their coursework, internships, and other great opportunities offered at Franklin County High School. They make every day interesting!”
The purpose of the “Support Staff of the Month” program is to recognize outstanding Franklin County Community School Corporation Support Staff who demonstrate dedication to his/her job, school, students, and community.
