Mrs. Lisa Goins: May 2022 Support Staff of the Month

Director of Operations, Mr. Keith Isaacs, is thrilled to announce that Mrs. Lisa Goins, paraprofessional at Mount Carmel Elementary, has been selected as May’s “Support Staff of the Month.” 

Lisa Goins is in her eighth year of working at the Franklin County Community School Corporation. 

Lisa was nominated for this honor by five colleagues. When asked why Mrs. Goins should be considered for this recognition, they responded, “Lisa is a paraprofessional that is priceless. Lisa is very smart and being a teacher at one time, she knows exactly how a classroom should be run. She is encouraging and supportive of all students and teachers that she works with. Lisa will always rise to the task without a single complaint. In fact, she often asks how she can help rather than waiting for a task to be given to her. She has filled many roles within the building and has proven that she is able to work effectively with all grade levels. She interacts very well with students and they respond well to her. Overall, Lisa is a faithful, willing, consistent, and dedicated individual who we are grateful to have in our school!” 

In addition to her school responsibilities, Lisa is a 4-H club leader for the Oxford Pike Pioneers in Franklin County and is an active member at her church helping with the children’s ministries. 

When not at school, Lisa enjoys scrapbooking and attending crafting classes. 

When asked what the best part of her job is, Lisa responded, “In my eight years at Mount Carmel I have been able to work with all different grade levels and all different kids. Currently I am working with kindergarten students and there is never a dull moment. I love their excitement every day. I am so blessed that I get to work with amazing students and staff at Mount Carmel.” 

The purpose of the “Support Staff of the Month” program is to recognize outstanding Franklin County Community School Corporation Support Staff who demonstrate dedication to his/her job, school, students, and community.
