Mr. Dwayne Murray, April’s Support Staff of the Month

Director of Operations, Mr. Keith Isaacs, is thrilled to announce that Mr. Dwayne Murray, bus mechanic for Franklin County Community School Corporation, has been selected as April’s “Support Staff of the Month.” 

Dwayne Murray has been working at Franklin County Community School Corporation for 8 years. 

Dwayne was nominated for this honor by three colleagues. When asked why Mr. Murray should be considered for this recognition, they responded, “Dwayne goes above and beyond a bus mechanics job description. He is always willing to help out, even outside of work hours. Dwayne maintains a positive attitude and rarely complains about issues that may ‘inconvenience’ him. He always has the bus drivers issues fixed in a timely manner, has willingness to sub for bus drivers, and rarely takes off work. He has a fantastic relationship with the bus drivers, bus aides, and corporation personnel. Dwayne is very knowledgeable about bus mechanics and always keeps the buses in good working order. He is fantastic!” 

In addition to his role in the Franklin County Community School Corporation, Dwayne is involved in the Lakeside Cruisers Car Club and the Hilltoppers Car Club of Cincinnati. 

When not at school, Dwayne enjoys restoring classic cars, going to car shows and cruise ins, and fishing.  

When asked what the best part of his job is, Dwayne responded, “The ability to take something that doesn’t work and make it work again. I continue to learn with all of the new technology coming out on today’s diesel vehicles.”

The purpose of the “Support Staff of the Month” program is to recognize outstanding Franklin County Community School Corporation Support Staff who demonstrate dedication to his/her job, school, students, and community.
