Mobile Device Insurance

Chromebook and iPad Insurance must be purchased by the parent/guardian this year. Accidents happen and when they do, the cost to repair can add up quick! This year FCCSC has partnered with Worth Ave Group to offer device insurance to parents. FCCSC will no longer self-insure devices. In other words, if a parent/guardian does not purchase coverage with our partner Worth Ave Group, and your child’s school owned device is damaged, the repair cost will be 100% the parent/guardian’s responsibility.

Here are the repair costs for the most common types of damage.

Chromebook – $200iPad – $299.00
Chromebook Screen – $25Broken LCD – $140
Chromebook Charger – $20Broken Screen – $90
Chromebook Keyboard – $45Foreign Object in Headphone Jack – $65
Chromebook Hinge Cover – $7Broken USB Port – $59
Chromebook Hinge Set – $14iPad Charger – $19
Chromebook Screen Bezel – $10iPad Charger cable – $19

We highly recommend the coverage. The cost is $13 for a Chromebook and $18 for an iPad. All students in grades K-2 will receive an iPad and all students in grades 3-12 will receive a Chromebook. This is valuable coverage that will pay for itself the first time your child has an accident.

To get started, contact your child’s school to enroll. Existing damage will not be covered.
