Principal Riley’s 2020-2021 Welcome Letter

It is with great honor that I’m writing this letter to you as your new Franklin County High School Principal.  As a resident of Franklin County with children in the school system, I will do my best to make FCHS the best I can.  I’m eager to start the 2020-21 school year.

A little about me I graduated from Purdue University in 2007 with my degree in physical education.  I have been in education for 12 years now.  My first 5 years of classroom experience was in the state of Arizona as a PE/Health teacher.  For the past 6 years, I have worked at Franklin County Community School Corporation.  Five of those years as FCHS assistant principal.

During these unique times, it is important that we provide every student with a quality education.  We have been working vigorously to ensure we are providing educational options to meet the needs of all students.  We will continue to adapt our curriculum and options to help serve all students in our community.  My goal is to provide options that make our students feel safe and provide quality education during these times.  I’m lucky to have such a strong staff around me to help me out during my transition as principal.

As the principal of FCHS, I welcome you to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have throughout your student’s time here.  I believe communication is important to help meet the needs of every student.  It takes the whole community to make our school system successful and to maximize potential in each student.  We are in this together!

Sincerely,

Dustin Riley
