Summer School 2017

We are currently planning our 2017 summer school program. PE, SAE, English, Algebra I and PLATO credit recovery will be offered to students who are currently in grades 9-12 at Franklin County High School. The SAE and PE classes are offered to all incoming FC 9th-12th graders. However, credit for English and math will be available only to students who need a required English or math class in order to graduate “on time”. Summer classes begin May 30, and end on June 21, 2017. Classes will meet from 8:00 am. — 12:00 pm. To enroll in a summer class, students must have approval from their high school counselor, as well their parent or guardian. Be advised that courses will be offered only if there are a minimum of 15 students enrolled in a course. Students and parents will be notified when class details are finalized.

Students wishing to take classes during the summer to “get ahead” or graduate early, may do so at their own expense through FCHS PLATO, the Indiana Virtual Academy, Brigham Young University, or a number of other providers. Information regarding those online opportunities is available through the high school guidance counselors.

If you have any questions about summer school, please contact the building administrator, or guidance counselor.

Sincerely,
Tammy Chavis, Assistant Superintendent
