Superintendent, Dr. Debbie Howell, is pleased to announce that Mrs. Kim Bradley has been named May’s “Educator of the Month.” Mrs. Bradley works as a special needs instructional assistant at Brookville Middle School. She has provided support and assistance for special needs students in Franklin County for the last six years.
Mrs. Bradley was nominated for this recognition by a parent. When asked why Mrs. Bradley should receive this award, the parent responded that, “Mrs. Bradley takes the role of instructional assistant to the next level. Her passion to find what works for each special needs student to succeed is a true gift.”
In her “free time”, Mrs. Bradley likes to ride her motorcycle in benefit and charity rides. In addition, to “riding” in these benefit and charity rides, Mrs. Bradley volunteers her time to organize rides. Last year, she organized a charity ride to help create a “sensory room” at Brookville Middle School.
When asked what she loves most about her job, Mrs. Bradley shared stories about the students she serves. Small successes and victories from her students brings her joy and a sense of accomplishment.
The purpose of the “Educator of the Month” program is to recognize outstanding Franklin County educators who demonstrate excellence in the classroom, leadership in the school, dedication to the students, and involvement in the community.
