FCCSC Attendance Policy

Nationwide, 7.5 million students miss nearly a month of school every year in excused and unexcused absences.  Locally, 675 students missed more than ten (10) days of school during the 2014-2015 school year, and 673 students exceeded this ten (10) day mark in 2013-2014.  Developing the habit of going to school regularly is critical to doing well in school, college, and on the job.  Recently, the Franklin County Board of School Trustees approved a new attendance policy for the upcoming school year which limits the number of days, excused and unexcused, that student may be absent from school to nine (9).  Click here to read more.
