February 2023 Support Staff of the Month

Director of Operations, Mr. Keith Isaacs, is thrilled to announce that Ms. Kim Sizemore has been selected as February’s “Support Staff of the Month.” Kim currently serves as a custodian at Franklin County High School.

In 2008, Kim joined the Franklin County School Corporation as a part time employee and in 2015, became full time. In all, Ms. Sizemore has dedicated nearly 15 years to our school facilities.

Kim was nominated for this honor by a staff member. When asked why Ms. Sizemore should be considered for this recognition, they responded, “Kim is flexible in her work time to ensure all events go off without a hitch. Late nights, earlier mornings, or Sunday programs…Kim is ready. She takes great pride in her work and makes sure our facilities are unrivaled. The gym flooring company even commented how every school should have a ‘Kim’ and commended her for the work she does. This past winter a snow storm was impending. Kim brought a pillow and blanket to sleep in the nursing station so she could be here to work on getting the sidewalks cleaned so our athletes could play. Kim is without a doubt one of a kind, and we are lucky to have her!”

Kim rarely has “free time” but when she does, she enjoys roller skating, taking hikes in the beautiful outdoors, crochet, and being adventurous with her grandkids.

When asked what the best part of her job is, Ms. Sizemore responded, “The kids. I enjoy the kids the most. They are an absolute hoot. They think I am funny, but I think they are the hilarious ones. The kids definitely keep me young.”

The purpose of the “Support Staff of the Month” program is to recognize outstanding Franklin County Community School Corporation Support Staff who demonstrate dedication to his/her job, school, students, and community. Nomination forms for “Support Staff of the Month” can be found on the school corporation website at www.fccsc.k12.in.us.
