The state requires that students earn four (4) credits in social studies in order to graduate from high school.
Specifically, students shall take:

• one year of U S . History
• one semester of U.S. Government
• one-semester elective (Sociology, Psychology, or Economics)

Students pursuing Academic Honors or Core 40 shall take:

• one (1) year of U.S. History
• one semester of U.S. Government
• one semester of World History or Geography
• one semester of Economics
• one semester of World History, Geography, Sociology, or Psychology.
