The state requires that students earn four (4) credits in social studies in order to graduate from high school.
Specifically, students shall take:
- one year of U S . History
- one semester of U.S. Government
- one-semester elective (Sociology, Psychology, or Economics)
Students pursuing Academic Honors or Core 40 shall take:
- one (1) year of U.S. History
- one semester of U.S. Government
- one semester of World History or Geography
- one semester of Economics
- one semester of World History, Geography, Sociology, or Psychology.
