Bynum Henson

Education

  • Maestro Henson has a Bachelor of Music degree from the Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music of the University of Cincinnati and a Master of Arts degree (music) from Ball State University.

Teaching

  • Bynum Henson has taught music in the Franklin County, Indiana schools for forty years, and has worked at every school in the county

Personal

  • He studied trumpet with Eugene Blee and David Greenhoe.  Mr. Henson was principal trumpet with the Hamilton Fairfield Orchestra for two years and also played trumpet with the Richmond Symphony Orchestra.  He has also performed with many brass ensembles in the Cincinnati area.
  • .  He lives on a farm and helps manage a beef cattle operation with his wife, Shirley.  He and his wife have two children and five grandchildren.
